Understanding the Role

Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center is a 21-bed critical access hospital with stand-alone outpatient multi-specialty clinic. Southern Coos Hospital is currently seeking to fill positions for 2 Primary Care providers in its well-established clinic. Additionally, there is an opportunity for one of the providers to take on the role of Medical Director.

The health center has an existing patient panel, making it easy for new providers to quickly establish themselves and connect with patients. This position is joining two Experience Primary Care Physicians in a multi-specialty outpatient clinic seeing patients of all ages.

The basic outline of the position, from a clinical aspect is below:

  • $135,000 annual base salary
    $10,000 annual retention bonus
  • Option for Staff Provider or Medical Director
    Medical Director Stipend: $24,000 per annum (Disbursed in monthly installments of $2,000)
    Medical Director role requires an additional commitment of 10 hours per month beyond the standard 40-hour work week.
  • RVU Production of $28 per RVU above 3,311 RVUs produced per year
  • $10,000 sign-on, $10,000 relocation
  • Direct student loan repayment based on receipts $800 - $1500 per month
  • 22 days PTO, 5 days CME, $1500 CME Allowance
  • EMR – CPSI
  • Approval to move forward with Epic E.H.R. is now confirmed. Anticipated Go Live is Q4 of 2024
  • Schedule: 4 10-hour days or 5 8-hour days (Can start you day as early as 7am)
    1 Full day of administrative time completed remotely from home
    Hospital day shifts also available, if desired, with additional pay
  • Phone call only, No nights and No weekends
  • Provider see’s all ages including pediatric
    See on average 16 patents per day
