Understanding the Role

Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider at Stella Mattina

Join Stella Mattina’s growing primary care team as a Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP), delivering comprehensive outpatient care in a physician-led practice designed to prioritize your professional satisfaction and work-life balance. This is primary care as it should be—a Monday–Friday schedule with no call responsibilities, supported by innovative documentation solutions that free you to focus entirely on patient care within a collaborative and respectful healthcare environment.

Stella Mattina serves communities throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, offering accessible primary care grounded in clinical excellence, provider satisfaction, and sustainable practice models. As an APP here, you’ll be part of a team that genuinely understands your role in modern primary care—supported by systems and infrastructure that rival large healthcare networks while maintaining the culture and autonomy of private practice.

The Clinical Environment

You’ll practice exclusively in outpatient Family Medicine, seeing patients Monday through Friday with predictable hours that support a sustainable, balanced career. Unlike traditional models that require nights, weekends, or hospital coverage, this position ensures that your personal time remains yours—not occasionally, but as a built-in feature of the practice structure.

Your patient population will reflect the full breadth of Family Medicine—ranging from preventive care and chronic disease management to acute illness treatment and wellness visits. You’ll build long-term patient relationships while managing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and infections in a continuity-based environment that values comprehensive care.

  • Outpatient Family Medicine only—no hospital rounds, no inpatient duties, no ED coverage
  • Monday–Friday schedule with no call, weekends, or holidays
  • Comprehensive scope including preventive, chronic, and acute care
  • Continuity-focused practice model fostering strong patient relationships
  • Flexible location options across multiple established clinics
  • Collaborative, physician-led environment that values APP expertise

Revolutionary Documentation Support

The defining feature of this position is Stella Mattina’s virtual physician scribe service—a groundbreaking system that redefines outpatient documentation. You’ll work with a virtual physician scribe located in Mexico who handles all documentation, prescriptions, and referrals in real time during patient visits. This isn’t AI transcription—it’s a credentialed professional producing complete, accurate notes while you focus solely on patient interaction.

You’ll end your day with your charts finished—no evening catch-up, no weekend charting, no burnout. This model, typically seen only in ultra-high-volume specialties, now transforms primary care at Stella Mattina into a supportive, efficient, and satisfying clinical experience.

  • Virtual MD scribe manages documentation workflow during visits
  • Real-time completion of notes, prescriptions, and referrals
  • Zero after-hours charting—end each day with documentation done
  • Exclusive support model uncommon in primary care settings
  • Improved work-life balance and reduced burnout risk
  • More face time with patients—less time with the EMR

Qualifications & Requirements

Stella Mattina seeks a Family Medicine APP—either a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)—committed to comprehensive, patient-centered primary care. Board certification in Family Medicine and Texas licensure (or eligibility) are required. The practice welcomes both new graduates with excellent training and experienced APPs seeking a more sustainable clinical model.

You’ll enjoy significant clinical autonomy with the reassurance of collaborative physician support for complex cases—ensuring a balance of independence and teamwork that encourages professional growth and quality care.

  • FNP or PA focused on Family Medicine

Each APP is supported by two dedicated medical assistants who manage patient flow, intake, and clinical prep—so you can focus on clinical decision-making rather than administrative duties. Combined with virtual documentation support, this structure allows for efficient, focused, and rewarding practice.
