Located on I-35W in south Fort Worth, Texas Health Huguley is licensed for 291 beds, Level III facility. The hospital includes a medical intensive care unit, a cardiovascular critical care unit, a progressive care unit, open heart surgery center and behavioral health. We have accredited programs in orthopedics, chest pain and inpatient diabetes, plus we have an award-winning emergency department available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More than 350 primary care and specialty physicians provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.
A new addition to the hospital: A $75 million 116,000 square foot five-story patient tower with two of the floors to be shelled space for expansion. It was being built on the northwest side of hospital which on the day of construction had 327 beds. The tower will increase the size of the emergency department from 24 to 44 beds and the ambulance bay would be increased from three to six bays. It will also have medical imaging and oncology treatment areas, a intensive care unit with 20 rooms and a dining room. On January 24, 2024, Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South had a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new patient tower.

Designed to be a destination for the residents of Mansfield and surrounding communities, the $150 million project will also include an 80,000-squarefoot medical office building that will house primary care and specialty practices, an outpatient center that will offer lab, therapy and imaging services. The hospital will have capacity for 95 beds, and including Medical/ Surgical, ICU, women’s services, general surgery, orthopedics, interventional cardiology, and gastroenterology. The Mansfield area is one of the fastest growing areas of North Texas, projected to reach more than 250,000 residents by 2023. Future job growth over the next ten years is predicted to be 41%, higher than the national average of 33.5%. Texas Health Mansfield will bring a one-of-a-kind health care campus and whole person care to this fast growing community.
Mission: Lifeline (STEMI) Award - Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South received the Mission: Lifeline (STEMI) Award from the American Heart Association in August 2020.
Pulmonary Care Excellence Award 2022 - Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South received the Pulmonary Care Excellence Award from Healthgrades for its COPD and pneumonia care.
Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating - Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South received the Over Hospital Quality Star Rating in spring of 2021, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Gold Seal of Approval Accreditation - Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South has received four Gold Seal of Approval Accreditations from the Joint Commission.[8]
