The compensation will be a 2-year guaranteed base salary between $470,000-$490,000 plus wRVU productivity bonus.
The interview and offer process for all providers applying for UCHealth is the same at all locations. Once we determine there is mutual interest, we will schedule an initial call with the Physician Recruiter for UCHealth, Kim Davis. Kim will cover additional details about working for UCHealth, address any outstanding questions and schedule your call with Kelley Hekowczyk, Director of Physician Recruitment.
Kelley will go over the compensation package in detail. It is extremely competitive, and providers can expect to earn $600,000+ in their first year (2021-MGMA Median = $481K). The benefits package includes a retirement program comprised of a basic pension plan, 401(a) investment account, 403(b) matching account and a 457(b) deferred compensation savings plan. Additional offerings include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, disability coverage. There is a competitive time off plan and wellness benefits and generous continuing medical education (CME) allowance. There will also be a starting bonus and relocation allowance that is discussed during the offer process.
If the compensation meets what you are looking for, a call will be scheduled for you to speak with Dr. Ann Mellott. This call allows you to discuss the opportunity in detail, physician to physician, and get a full picture of what your new practice will look like on a day-to-day basis.
Following these calls, you will have a full understanding of UCHealth as an organization, the clinical practice, and the compensation plan. If you decide to move forward with an onsite visit, Kim will coordinate your travel and accommodations. During your visit, you will meet with various executives, Oncology providers, and members of the support staff. We will also schedule a community tour with a realtor for you and your significant other.
You will be given the information to provide 3 references. You will have the option of providing these references ahead of your onsite interview. It is not required; however, it shows genuine interest in pursuing a new position with UCHealth, and it will expedite your offer process. Following your visit, the team will generate an offer letter with general specifics. Once your offer letter has been signed, an executable contract will be provided for you within 2-3 weeks.
