UCHealth Cancer Care and Hematology Clinic is located on the Greeley Hospital Campus. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. UCHealth uses EPIC for EMR.
The position will be a 4-day work week, and the incoming provider will have office and clinic space at the Greeley clinic. Providers can expect to see 15-18 patients per day. Initially, you will see two to four patients per day, growing to five to eight patients per day. Ideally, the incoming provider will be at the 50th percentile within their first two years, however the ramp up period should not take that long. New patient visits can be 30 or 60 minutes with follow up visits being 15 or 30 minutes. Time for visits is at the discretion of the physician. You will have full control over your scheduling template. There is a full support staff, and all nurses are OCN trained.
There are 3 centers patients can receive infusion. One at Greeley Hospital, one at the cancer center on the Greeley Hospital Campus, and one at the Cancer Center at Harmony Campus in Fort Collins. Providers will see a variety of the standard cases including Breast, Lung, & Colon cancers. UCHealth-Greeley can keep most cases in house, including acute lymphoma & BMT. If they do need to refer out, it will be sent to UC-Health-University of Colorado Anshutz in Denver.
The cancer care offered at UCHealth in Greeley is comprehensive. Additional patient support staff includes emotional counseling and social work, massage therapy, patient navigators, physical rehabilitation, financial counseling, exercise programs, and genetic counseling.
