You will join a small, collaborative team in Suite 220 of the Kettering Health Greene Memorial Physician Office Building. The intimate size of this practice location means you will work closely with your colleagues, sharing patient coverage responsibilities and building genuine professional relationships rather than passing in hallways between patients.
Your primary colleague in Suite 220 will be Jason Schofield, PA-C, who provides Family Medicine care alongside the physician in this location. Moses Chung, PA-C, also supports primary care services at the Greene Memorial campus. This physician-APP team model allows for collaborative patient management, with the physician providing supervision and consultation while APPs extend the practice's capacity to serve more patients in the community.
Beyond your immediate team, you will share call coverage and collaborate with colleagues at another Kettering Health Primary Care office located across town in Xenia. This office includes four physicians practicing Family Medicine and Internal Medicine, plus one advanced practice provider. These colleagues form your call rotation group, and you will interact with them regularly through shared coverage responsibilities and system-wide primary care meetings.
The collaborative relationship between these two primary care sites provides professional backup and collegial support. When you have questions about a complex patient, need coverage for time away, or simply want to discuss a challenging case, you have physician colleagues who understand your patient population and practice environment.
When fully staffed, each provider in the practice has a dedicated medical assistant who handles patient rooming, vital signs, procedure preparation, and in-basket support. The clinic is currently recruiting a new medical assistant following the transition of the previous physician, whose MA followed her to her new location. This position will be filled to ensure you have consistent clinical support from your start date.
The practice also benefits from front office staff who manage scheduling, check-in, referral coordination, and patient communication. This administrative support allows you and your MA to focus on direct patient care rather than clerical tasks.
Kettering Health has plans to consolidate primary care services once this position is filled. The vision is to bring providers from multiple locations together under one roof in the new Multisource Building adjacent to Greene Memorial Hospital. This consolidation will create a larger primary care team working in a shared space, enhancing opportunities for collaboration, cross-coverage, and professional community.
This transition represents an opportunity to help shape a new practice environment. As one of the physicians present during the consolidation, you will have input into workflows, scheduling templates, and team dynamics. Rather than joining an established group with entrenched patterns, you will help build the culture of this new consolidated practice.
As a Kettering Health Medical Group physician, you become part of a network of over 1,800 physicians across 14 medical centers and 120+ outpatient facilities throughout southwestern Ohio. This network provides specialty support for your patients, with established referral pathways to cardiologists, gastroenterologists, orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, and subspecialists across every field. The Epic EMR integration means you can communicate directly with specialists, review their notes, and coordinate care without the fragmentation common when referring outside a health system.
The team environment here balances the intimacy of a small practice with the resources of a large health system. You will know your colleagues personally, share genuine professional relationships, and have the backup and specialty support that comes with being part of the region's leading faith-based healthcare network.
