Join a Trusted Team with Deep Roots and Collaborative Culture

When you join this group, you're not just stepping into a practice—you're entering a collegial, experienced network of cardiologists committed to excellence and mentorship. The team currently includes six board-certified physicians spanning interventional, electrophysiology (EP), heart failure, and general cardiology. With 35+ years of presence in the Inland Empire and a reputation for thoughtful growth, this practice provides the ideal balance of independence and team-based care.

The group's structure has been built intentionally, blending multiple established providers into a single, unified cardiology team. Physicians here are known not just for their clinical acumen but for their support of one another, the fellows they teach, and the incoming generation of partners. Two senior interventionalists—including a founding physician with 35 years of service—are preparing for retirement, creating mentorship and volume transition opportunities for incoming talent.

Key Physicians You Will Work With

  • Ashish Mukherjee, MD – Senior interventionalist and key mentor for new hires; instrumental in procedural volume and leadership within the group. He currently performs a high number of PCIs and structural procedures.
  • Prabhdeep Sethi, MD – Interventional cardiologist with a strong presence in structural heart (TAVR, MitraClip); working alongside Dr. Mukherjee to handle most of the group’s structural caseload.
  • Issa G. Alesh, MD – Senior Partner, non-invasive cardiologist
  • Tau A. Nguyen, MD – Active in cath lab procedures; collaborates in Riverside and St. Bernardine workflows.
  • Rod Partow-Navid, MD – Electrophysiologist and one of the newer group members; his successful ramp-up is used as a reference for onboarding new physicians.
  • Sami B. Nazzal, MD – Senior Partner, interventional cardiologist

Support and Administrative Team

  • Anita – Longstanding office and operations manager; central to coordinating group communications, hospital partnerships, and recruitment data (RVUs, compensation modeling, etc.).
  • Fellows and residents (4 general cardiology fellows per year) – Support documentation, rounding, and cath lab workflows, particularly at St. Bernardine Medical Center.
  • Shared infrastructure and consultative coordination with fellows and hospitalists at Riverside Community Hospital, even though the fellowship there is not group-affiliated.

Culture and Growth-Oriented Mindset

  • Fellowship-trained interventionalists currently handle the majority of PCI and structural cases
  • Faculty include legacy-trained interventionalists with ties to foundational figures like Andreas Gruentzig, MD
  • Transparent, inclusive practice model with opportunities for new hires to shape structural heart expansion
  • Collegial relationships across both hospitals ensure seamless care transitions and shared resources
  • Near-future expansion plans include adding 1–2 more cardiologists and growing in Rancho Cucamonga/Upland
  • Low turnover and high physician retention signal long-term professional satisfaction

You’ll be welcomed into a group that values your contributions, supports your development, and invites you to shape its next chapter. Whether you're early in your career or seeking to refine your structural skillset with experienced mentors, this is a place where your work—and your voice—will matter.
