You’ll be joining a large and collegial anesthesia department with the depth of resources and talent you would expect from a major academic medical center. The department is composed of 44–48 anesthesiologists, complemented by 41 CRNAs, 3 CAAs, and 48 residents. Within this robust team, the Acute Pain Service (APS) includes six physicians, three of whom are fellowship-trained in acute pain and regional anesthesia, ensuring you’ll be part of a highly skilled and supportive subspecialty group.
The anesthesia care team model ensures that you’ll always have the right level of support in the OR and APS settings. CRNAs and CAAs provide skilled assistance, allowing you to focus on high-level decision-making and procedures. Residents bring enthusiasm and curiosity to their training, and your role in guiding them will be both professionally satisfying and intellectually rewarding.
