When you join Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma, you become part of an established physician group with genuine depth. The medical oncology and hematology team currently includes eight board-certified or board-eligible physicians, each bringing distinct experience and perspectives to patient care. This is not a practice where you will work in isolation or shoulder an unsustainable patient load. Your colleagues have built a culture of mutual support, shared decision-making, and respect for individual practice styles within a framework of high clinical standards. Many staff members describe CCSWOK as a family, and physician longevity reflects this sentiment.
Dr. Manal Robin-Hanna serves as Medical Director and sets the clinical tone for the entire program. She is known for advocating evidence-based care while respecting physician autonomy. She participates actively in tumor boards and treatment planning, and she makes herself available to colleagues for complex case discussions. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration over hierarchy, and she has built a reputation as an approachable mentor who supports both new graduates and experienced physicians. Dr. Vinicius Machado Jorge directs the research program and has embedded clinical trials into the fabric of daily practice. His work ensures that patients have access to novel therapies without the administrative burden falling on treating physicians.
Comprehensive cancer care requires close collaboration with radiation oncology, and CCSWOK maintains this partnership on site. Two radiation oncologists work alongside the medical oncology team, participating in tumor boards and coordinating multimodality treatment plans.
Five advanced practice providers work directly with the hematology/oncology physicians, extending your reach without fragmenting patient relationships. These APPs hold oncology certifications and manage follow-up visits, routine symptom management, bone marrow biopsies, and inpatient consults. They partner with physicians in clinic and infusion workflows, allowing you to focus your time on new patients, complex cases, and treatment decisions.
Robyn Lewis, RN, OCN, serves as Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing for the cancer center. She has built a highly experienced, stable oncology nursing team that physicians consistently cite as one of the program's greatest strengths. The nursing staff includes Oncology Certified Nurses, chemotherapy-certified specialists, and disease-specific expertise developed over years of practice.
The nursing team manages multi-layer chemotherapy safety checks, including independent order verification, BSA recalculation, and pathology confirmation before treatment. Dedicated triage nurses handle patient calls, refill requests, portal messages, and symptom management, keeping routine issues from interrupting your clinic flow. Comprehensive patient education packets and a patient-facing treatment app allow families to follow care plans and stay informed.
Lane Hooton serves as Chief Operating Officer and Oncology Service Line Leader. A pharmacist by training, he brings deep understanding of oncology pharmacy operations, chemotherapy workflows, and 340B program compliance. He oversees day-to-day operations across all CCSWOK locations, manages financial performance, and coordinates physician recruitment and onboarding. His pharmacy background ensures that drug access, safety protocols, and operational systems run smoothly, removing administrative friction so physicians can focus on patient care.
You will join a team where low turnover, high engagement, and genuine pride in the program create an environment where physicians stay long-term and patients receive consistent, compassionate care from providers who know them.
