John Tucker comes to HCMC with 20 years of experience in rural hospitals, the past 15 years as CEO. Since 2015 he has served at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad Colorado where the organization was awarded CMS 5-Star status in 2020 and 2021 and in 2021 named a “Top 100 CAH” by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. John enjoys working to create great organizational cultures and leads with a friendly, transparent and collaborative style.
Under his leadership MSRH saw year-over-year improvements in employee engagement, significant service expansion, increased physician satisfaction and longevity, and began a master facility planning process which culminated in the completion of an expansion project that replaced all of the patient care spaces in the hospital.
