UK Kings Daughters holds Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center (TSC) designation, which requires 24/7 availability for mechanical thrombectomy and specialized care for patients with large vessel occlusive ischemic strokes. The IR team carries primary responsibility for EVT coverage. Stroke intervention experience is strongly preferred in the incoming physician; a neurointerventional fellowship is not required, and the current team actively proctors colleagues on stroke cases.
