Situated on the outskirts of mountainous terrain, Nogales has an abundance of outdoor recreation available for anyone. There are walking and hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding and rock climbing. Nogales is surrounded by scenic views and state parks that can provide a weekend get away with the family or by yourself. There are two local bodies of water, Patagonia Lake and Pena Blanca Lake that give access to swimming, fishing, boating and other water activities. Tucson, Arizona is only a short 45-minute drive north of Nogales and can offer all the amenities of a big city and if you need to make a trip out of state anywhere, Nogales and the surrounding areas are a quick drive up to Tucson International Airport. This city has a population of over half a million residents and is the second largest city in the state. Tucson has a multitude of recreations activities from nightlife and restaurants to museums and fine arts there is no shortage of entertainment for any one throughout this community. The University of Arizona offers even more to do with division 1 sporting events, featuring the UofA men’s basketball team who have made the NCAA tournament 8 out of the last 10 years. The university also offers theater and art shows, speaking events as well as networking events throughout each sector of the school.
