Clinical Component

Delivering Orthopedic Care with Flexibility, Support, and Impact

In this role, your clinical practice will be rooted in providing high-quality, relationship-driven orthopedic care to patients in Cheyenne and surrounding communities. You’ll serve as the primary provider in the Cheyenne clinic, managing patient evaluations, imaging reviews, pre-operative and post-operative care, and general orthopedic consultations. The clinical load is designed for sustainability—balancing patient care volume with deep, meaningful interactions.

You’ll work alongside and receive guidance from Dr. Posley, a spine-focused orthopedic surgeon, and Dr. Hammond, a pain management specialist with family ties to the area. While this is not primarily a surgical first-assist role, you will have opportunities to observe or support in the OR on a selective basis, especially if you’re interested in expanding procedural skills or understanding referral patterns.

The patient mix will include a blend of walk-ins, referrals from primary care and specialists, and follow-ups. You’ll be part of a larger orthopedic care ecosystem, with informal referral relationships extending to Thunder Basin Orthopedics and Premier Bone & Joint, and access to additional providers in Casper and Douglas for consultative needs.

  • Focus on general orthopedic evaluations, pre/post-op care, and conservative management
  • Occasional opportunity to assist or observe surgeries, if desired
  • No required first-assist responsibilities—ideal for providers preferring clinic-based work
  • Broad orthopedic exposure including total joints, sports medicine, and pain management
  • Imaging and minor procedures conducted on-site (X-ray, with CT and ultrasound likely in future phases)
  • Work closely with supervising physicians while building long-term provider-patient relationships
  • Access to referring and specialty providers across a wide regional network
