Position Overview

Be the Cornerstone of Orthopedic Expansion in Cheyenne

As the newest Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) joining the team at Memorial Hospital of Converse County (MHCC), you’ll step into a role that is both pioneering and impactful. This isn’t just a job—it’s a strategic position that extends MHCC’s trusted orthopedic care into Cheyenne, one of Wyoming’s most populous and underserved areas. You’ll serve as the clinical lead at the new Cheyenne site, shaping how orthopedic services are delivered in a region with substantial patient demand but limited local access.

While your day-to-day focus will be clinic-based care, your impact will be statewide. You’ll collaborate with Dr. Posley (Ortho Spine) and Dr. Hammond (Pain Management), acting as the face of orthopedic services in Cheyenne and building relationships that will drive growth and continuity of care. This is a new role, born of MHCC’s vision to offer high-quality, accessible care across Wyoming’s frontier geography. With no call responsibilities, a supportive leadership structure, and room to shape clinical operations, you’ll enjoy both autonomy and balance.

With a starting total compensation of $775,000, this position ranks among the most lucrative PA opportunities nationwide—reflecting both the value of your role and the organization’s investment in expanding care access across Wyoming.

MHCC is fiercely independent in a healthcare world dominated by large systems—giving you the flexibility to innovate and invest in patient care, while aligning with respected partners like Thunder Basin Orthopedics. You’ll also play a role in a statewide network that reaches patients who often travel hours to avoid congested urban clinics and receive care from providers they trust.
