A Tight-Knit, High-Performing Team with Deep Community Roots
Join a Collaborative & Community-Oriented Medical Team
At Memorial Hospital of Converse County (MHCC), you’ll join a uniquely collaborative and community-oriented medical team that blends private practice excellence with health system support. While your primary base will be in Cheyenne, your professional ties will extend across a regional network of trusted orthopedic and pain specialists in Douglas, Casper, and beyond.
Your Key Collaborators Will Be:
- Dr. Posley, an orthopedic spine surgeon with regional reach and a vision for expanding access in underserved areas. Though based primarily in Denver, he remains highly engaged with MHCC’s outreach in Cheyenne and is eager to mentor and partner with a skilled PA.
- Dr. Hammond, a pain management physician with family roots in Cheyenne. His practice style is collaborative, and he values PAs who can handle pre-op imaging, injections, and conservative management. He brings both clinical acumen and deep local insight.
- Thunder Basin Orthopedics, MHCC’s trusted orthopedic affiliate. This independent group includes Dr. Murphy, a foundational figure in Wyoming orthopedics, and Dr. Sandra Gehart, a hands-and-shoulders specialist from Douglas with strong family and community ties. While technically independent, they work closely with MHCC and share patients, resources, and care philosophy.
- Wider Support Team: Though Cheyenne’s orthopedic clinic is just launching, you’ll be able to draw on scheduling, billing, and administrative support from the broader MHCC/Summit network. Other midlevels within the system emphasize flexibility and inter-provider collaboration, allowing for seamless coverage and knowledge sharing.
- Premier Bone & Joint and Local Specialists: In the early stages, you may operate from shared space within established clinics, building professional relationships and establishing referral rapport with other specialists.
