Joining a Collaborative and Patient-Centered Team

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to pediatric care. Your primary collaborator will be Dr. Jane El-Dahr, who built the Pediatric Rheumatology program and is dually trained in Rheumatology and Allergy/Immunology. Her passion for the program ensures a foundation of excellence and a commitment to its continued success. This is an opportunity to practice alongside a seasoned professional who has been in New Orleans since 1990 and joined Ochsner in 2021.

The current staffing model is designed to support the needs of both the physician and the patients. The presence of a significant waiting list demonstrates the high demand for your expertise and the potential for a thriving practice. Ochsner is actively recruiting for a second physician to alleviate the burden of being a sole provider, highlighting a proactive and supportive approach to staffing.

Jane El-Dahr, MD

Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

Jane El-Dahr, MD, specializes in pediatric allergy and immunology and pediatric rheumatology at Ochsner Health. Dr. El-Dahr received her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Following this, she completed her internship at Yale New Haven Hospital and residency at the University of Virginia. She then completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology and pediatric rheumatology at the University of Virginia. She has practiced medicine in New Orleans since 1990. Dr. Jane El-Dahr joined the staff at Ochsner in February 2021. Her expertise is in pediatric allergy with a focus on food allergy, and also in the care of children with rheumatologic disorders.
