minimally invasive surgeries to general obstetrics and high-risk pregnancies and births. Orlando Health Winnie Palmer welcomes nearly 14,000 babies each year. This 350-bed hospital includes 142 beds in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), making Orlando Health Winnie Palmer one of the largest NICUs in the nation. Winnie Palmer Hospitals is the first – and only – hospital in Florida to offer in-utero surgery to repair spina bifida. Named a Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group, our hospital also is proudly recognized as a “Best Children’s Hospitals in Neonatology” by U.S. News & World Report and has held Magnet® Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2013.

Position Overview

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking OBGYN Hospitalists to join one of the nation’s premier dedicated women’s hospitals and the nation’s largest privately run OBGYN Hospitalist team. The hospitalist group serves as a part of the Orlando Health Women's Institute structured as an exclusive hospital-based model covering Winnie Plamer Hospital, South Lake Hospital and Lake Mary Hospital slated for completion in early 2025.

Winnie Palmer Hospital, is renowned for its high patient volume and acuity, ranking as the second busiest OB unit in the country. The hospital fosters a collegial environment where physicians are deeply involved in both patient care and organizational committees, enhancing professional interaction and development.

The position is based within an OB-ED hospital setting at Winnie Palmer Hospital, which manages approximately 120 patients per day. This high-volume environment provides extensive exposure to diverse obstetric cases. Additionally, the hospital has a strong collaborative culture with specialties such as Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
