Executive Medical Director Overview
The Executive Medical Director position is new for us because it will be mostly non-clinical. We have not had that before. They will do all administrative work, quality, and risk management. We are establishing this position, especially since Covid, and the additional requirements required of our organization. We feel this role will allow our clinicians to be just clinicians and allow a fully dedicated medical director to do all the administrative work.
Project H.O.P.E is one of 3 FQHCs that handles homeless patients. We get patients from Camden County and outside the county too. Some have been in south and north Jersey shelters and wound up here. Our patient base is transient, and it may be months before you see them again. The provider must have empathy and compassion for these patients. Since many are not too compliant with the care we suggest and deliver. We have care coordinators who can assist with the simplest things like getting the patient a ride. Not everyone can deal with our patients.
