Specialized Clinical Care in a Turnkey Traumatic Brain Injury Model

Your clinical practice at Rincon will center on comprehensive, longitudinal care for patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries and associated conditions—primarily referred through personal injury cases. The patients you’ll serve often come to Rincon after months or years of frustration elsewhere. Here, you’ll be able to give them what they haven’t found: time, answers, and results.

This is a true “doctor’s practice”, free from insurance delays and productivity pressures. With in-house access to advanced neurodiagnostics, mental health support, vestibular and vision therapy, audiology, and more, you’ll be empowered to create and implement full-scope treatment plans—without waiting on outside approvals.

You’ll practice in a multidisciplinary environment with two physician assistants, certified athletic trainers, and a robust independent contractor network of specialists. Most of your patients will be high-acuity, while your PA colleagues manage lower-acuity follow-ups. Expect a schedule designed for balance: 8–12 patients per day, full documentation time, and a collaborative approach to patient management.

Clinical experience highlights include:

  • Patient Population: Adults with moderate to severe TBI, post-concussive syndromes, chronic pain, and related functional deficits—many involved in ongoing legal cases
  • Daily Volume: Typically 8–12 patients per day with 60-minute new consults and ample follow-up time
  • EMR: Practice Fusion currently; migrating to a more robust EHR system with analytics and integration capabilities
  • Procedures: Limited—focus is on diagnosis, coordination of care, and supervision of treatment; no pain management or narcotics
  • Diagnostic Tools Onsite: EEG, BMG, OCM (NASA-developed vision/motion testing), VOMS, Sway balance/cognitive testing, and more
  • Support Structure: 2 full-time PAs, 3 ATCs, 25–30 contracted providers across disciplines (e.g., neuropsychology, neurosurgery, audiology, psychiatry)
  • Team Model: Highly collaborative with monthly clinical meetings and ongoing peer feedback; emphasis on mentorship, shared decision-making, and continuous learning
  • Med-Legal Involvement: Optional but encouraged; full training provided for expert witness work, depositions, and writing reports
  • Call Requirements: None—no nights, weekends, or hospital responsibilities

Rincon’s practice model is designed to restore meaning and humanity to clinical care. You’ll have the time and tools to listen, evaluate, and treat each patient based on their full story—not their insurance code.
