Position Overview

Understanding the Role

Purpose-Driven Physiatry in a Progressive, Patient-Centered Practice

At Rincon Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, you will step into a rare and meaningful role focused on diagnosing and treating traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and related musculoskeletal issues in a highly supportive, physician-led setting. This opportunity allows you to focus on what drew you to medicine in the first place: spending time with patients, forming accurate diagnoses, and delivering real solutions without the red tape of insurance prior authorizations.

You will join a trailblazing organization based in Sacramento, California, with satellite clinics in six additional cities across California and Nevada. Rincon is actively transforming the TBI care landscape through innovation, compassion, and access to in-house services that create a seamless, multidisciplinary experience for every patient.

Your daily practice will be rooted in a brand-new, custom-built clinic featuring 12 exam rooms and advanced neurodiagnostic technologies. This position was created to directly replace the current physician founder's patient load, allowing you to step into an existing panel with ample support and a turnkey clinical structure. You will have the opportunity to lead, teach, and grow while being supported by a passionate executive team, skilled PAs, and athletic trainers.

  • Be the attending physician leading a highly collaborative, PA-supported clinical model
  • Diagnose and treat patients with complex brain injuries in a practice built specifically for TBI care
  • Lead a new chapter of growth in a multi-site clinic model expanding to Las Vegas, San Diego, and beyond
  • Step into a fully supported role with built-in patient volume and administrative infrastructure
  • Enjoy no call, no hospital rounding, no narcotic prescribing, and no insurance roadblocks
  • Be mentored into med-legal expert witness work, if desired, with optional compensated testimony involvement
  • Work Monday–Friday with flexible hours, low stress, and a high quality of life
  • Supervise and mentor a team of recent UC Davis PA program graduates in a team-focused environment
  • Report directly to a CEO-physician who prioritizes culture, innovation, and autonomy

This is an ideal opportunity for a PM&R or Neurology-trained physician who values intellectual challenge, teamwork, and the ability to make a real difference in patients’ lives every day. If you’re ready to practice without the burdens of bureaucracy and to be part of a high-growth, high-integrity organization, Rincon is ready for you.
