Compensation & Benefits
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary plus uncapped production incentives and additional leadership stipends. Physicians are eligible for UCI’s pension and loan forgiveness programs through the University of California.
Faculty members receive comprehensive benefits through UCI, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and malpractice coverage. There is also a $25K annual research stipend, and Endowed Chairs come with additional financial support.
Compensation Overview
Your total compensation will consist of several components:
- Salary Range: $470,000–$593,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position is part of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which includes eligibility for additional pay.
- Division Director Stipend: Included within the compensation structure.
- Base Salary: Determined by experience level – Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
- Additional Compensation (Z Payments):
- Productivity bonuses (RVU-based structure)
- Departmental bonuses
- Leadership stipends (e.g., Disease or Research Directorships)
- Philip J. DiSaia Endowed Chair in Gynecologic Oncology
