UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine. The UCI Medical Center is a 459-bed acute care hospital providing tertiary and quaternary care, ambulatory and specialty medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitation services. It is the primary teaching location for the UCI School of Medicine.

UCI Health is part of the University of California Health system, one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive academic health systems. All providers are on the same Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform, making it easy to share notes, labs, imaging, and studies across sites and specialties.
Providers can directly message one another within Epic and respond to each other’s notes. Most UCI providers also have dedicated support staff to help with inbox and coordination needs.
UCI GI is supported by experienced endoscopy nurses and techs at all procedure sites. Clinic sites include both faculty practice and resident clinics. With multiple Orange County locations, care is accessible and convenient for patients.

The first patients are expected in early 2024 at the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care. The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Care and Ambulatory Care building is slated to open later in the year. The acute care hospital will begin serving patients in 2025.
