Community Overview

Casper is a medium-sized city in Wyoming. The community is centralized in the state and offers shopping, outdoor recreation, community arts, and dining options. Residents enjoy water/snow skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, and mountain biking. The community arts include the symphony and theatre and easy access to large metropolitan communities, when desired. There are public and private schools from elementary through Masters´ programs offered. There is no state income tax. This community offers a wide variety of housing.  

Casper, WY

Casper is the 2nd largest city in Wyoming with a population of 59,179 people, yet it offers many amenities that most cities many times Casper’s size cannot boast.  It has shopping that is typical of an average suburb with Target, Home Depot, and Macy’s.  Casper has some exciting new restaurants with excellent cuisine like Firerock and Dsasumo, along with some local favorites like Botticelli’s and 1st St. Bakers, along with the usual assortment of national chains.   

Set on the banks of the North Platte River with the Laramie Mountains and Medicine Bow National Forest as a backdrop to the south – Casper has a picturesque setting invoking the spirit of the Rocky Mountains and the west.  The city and surrounding area offer an abundance of outdoor recreation. Casper was originally settled as a trading post, later as a fort and today is center of commerce, health care and industry for much of the state.  Casper is located roughly in the center of the great state of Wyoming and has long been a city with a strong energy-based economy.  http://www.casperwyoming.info/
