Dr. Stephen Brown is board certified in general, child and adolescent psychiatry. He directs a private practice in child and adolescent psychiatry in Casper. He also is the medical director of Wyoming Behavioral Institute. He received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Southern California and trained at Washington University in St. Louis’ Barnes and St. Louis Children’s Hospital where he received the Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Brown has been honored with the Distinguished Fellow of the APA designation. He also teaches psychiatry for the University of Washington and the University of Wyoming to WWAMI students and family practice residents.
Dr. Lida Prypchan completed her medical education at the University of Carabobo in Venezuela, the Universidad Central de Venezuela and Elmhurst Hospital Center/Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where she also completed a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Prypchan’s experience includes working as a research associate in the fields of schizophrenia, anxiety disorders in children and adolescents and diagnostic classification systems in psychiatry. More than 200 articles authored by Dr. Prypchan have been published. She is a three-time recipient of the National Award of Scientific Journalism in Valencia, Venezuela.
Kristina Gray is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner treating children and adolescents at Wyoming Behavioral Institute. A Wyoming native, Kristina received her nursing degree at Casper College. She cared for older adults in the community, and then spent 12 years as a neonatal and labor delivery nurse. In 2015, Kristina joined WBI’s team as a nurse working on child, adolescent and adult units and an intake coordinator. As a result of her experience with psychiatric patients, Kristina developed a passion for mental health care and pursued a master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Throughout her life, she has aspired to give back to her community and state, volunteering for the Wyoming Rescue Mission, Meals on Wheels, and raising money for Joshua’s Storehouse. In 2020, Kristina launched the creation of a food pantry at Casper College, and during COVID-19 pandemic containment effort she started a food bank in the community of Bar Nunn in collaboration with the local Fire Department.
