Position Overview

Understanding the Role

A Pivotal Role in Expanding Urologic Access for Southern Oregon

As the newest member of the Asante Urology team, you will play a vital role in expanding access to high-quality urologic care in the scenic community of Grants Pass, Oregon. This is a hospital-employed position focused on serving a well-established, underserved patient population with substantial outmigration due to the current lack of local specialists. The role offers a rare opportunity to build a thriving practice with minimal competition and immediate demand while being fully supported by a team of four urologists and five APPs based 45 minutes away in Medford.

You will have the flexibility to tailor your practice based on your preferences, whether you enjoy full-scope urology or have sub-specialty interests. Robotic surgery is available with a da Vinci 5 system already in place. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient, seasoned urologist who values autonomy but also desires the camaraderie of a larger group practice.

Serving a Region with High Demand and Minimal Competition

The Grants Pass facility serves a large catchment area that includes Josephine County, the southern Oregon coast, and northern California. Patients currently travel to Medford, Springfield, and even Portland for care. With an estimated 80 referrals per day flowing through the system and a notable outflow from Grants Pass, this role is designed to meet a clear and measurable need.

While Grants Pass has lacked a dedicated full-time urologist for several years, it previously supported one successfully, and the volume today far exceeds what it was then. You’ll be stepping into a market ready to support your practice from day one, with leadership fully invested in your success.
