You’d be joining a group of 3 board-certified Endocrinologists and one full-time Nurse Practitioner. I got to meet with all of them and they are collegial and collaborative. I got a genuine sense from them that they have each other’s backs and work efficiently together. They also seemed energized and to each have a great work-life balance for themselves.
Dr. White completed her residency and fellowship with USC in LA County. She joined Eisenhower eight years ago right out of training and has never looked back. Along with practicing Endocrinology, she also serves as the Associate Program Director for Eisenhower ACGME Internal Medicine residency program. 75% of her week is clinical and the other 25% goes towards GME for the residents. She is able to speak English and Spanish.
Dr. Baron has been in practice for seventeen years, also a USC graduate, and has been with Eisenhower for the last four years. She really enjoys working with diabetes patients so that is a big portion of her practice, but she works with other patients as well. She works .625 full-time-equivalent (FTE).
Dr. Islam has been in practice and with Eisenhower for three years. She completed her residency at NYC Health & Hospitals and her fellowship at Scripps clinic. Dr. Islam works full-time and sees all Endocrine patients, including a handful of transgender patients. She speaks English and Bengali.
Jill has been in practice six years as a Nurse Practitioner and been with Eisenhower for five years. She works full-time with the group.
Dr. Hackshaw worked as a Cardiologist in the Palm Springs area for 20+ years. When he retired clinically, he joined Eisenhower Executive Team. He oversees all subspecialists under Internal Medicine and is heavily involved in recruitment in addition to a department’s growth and success. I have worked with Dr. Hackshaw for several years. He is a kind person, extremely knowledgeable in medicine and the healthcare business, and has your best interest in mind. During the process he will give you the information you need to make a well-informed decision. He will also be involved in reviewing your offer with you and addressing any questions you have.
Previously Eisenhower’s COO for 13 years, Marty was named CEO of Eisenhower upon the former CEO’s retirement and 20-year tenure. He will often join in on the interview process when he is available because he enjoys establishing relationships with all physicians and staff, and wants a boots-on-the-ground perspective to continue to build upon the success they have built over the last 50 years.
